Is Terso AI an agency, a consultancy, or a software company?
Terso AI is an engineering partner. We are not an agency selling hours and we are not pure consultants who hand over a deck. We audit, design, build, host, and run the system long-term. Think of us as an outsourced software and AI team you engage on a monthly subscription.

Do you work outside the United States?
We primarily serve United States clients but partner with operators in Canada, the UK, and EU on a case-by-case basis. Our infrastructure is region-flexible and we will route data to keep you compliant with your jurisdiction.

How is Terso AI priced?
A simple monthly subscription that covers the build, hosting, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of your system. Priced against the ROI of the engagement — not hours billed. Most engagements start with a free audit so we can price against a real scope. See Pricing.
How much does it cost?
Pricing varies by scope but most engagements fall in a defined monthly band that covers build, hosting, and ongoing improvement. Smaller scopes are priced lower; larger transformations higher. The Pricing page lists current tiers, or book a free discovery call for a tailored quote.
Are there setup fees?
No traditional setup fees. The monthly subscription includes initial build, deployment, and onboarding. Some larger transformations may include a one-time architecture fee, which we disclose up-front during the roadmap stage.
Can I cancel? Is there a contract?
Yes. Engagements are month-to-month after the initial build. If you ever decide to leave, we hand over your data in standard, portable formats. We do not lock you in.
How does the free discovery call work?
A 30-minute working session where we identify the highest-ROI bottleneck in your operation and outline how to eliminate it. No commitment after the call. If we are a fit, the next step is a paid or fixed-fee audit before any build.

What is the build process?
Four stages: Audit, Roadmap, Build, Run. We map operations, stack, revenue motion, and where time and margin leak. We architect scope, specs, acceptance criteria, and an ROI model. How long does it take to ship a system?
Most engagements start with a free audit, then a paid or fixed-fee scoping. After scoping is signed off, initial builds typically ship within a few weeks. We deploy continuously after that and keep improving the system over the life of the engagement.
What technology stack do you use?
We are stack-agnostic and pick the right tools for the job. Common building blocks: modern web frameworks (Next.js, React, Node, Python), managed cloud (Vercel, AWS, GCP), LLM and agent frameworks (OpenAI, Anthropic, vector databases), and integration platforms.
Can you integrate with the tools we already use?
Yes. Most builds connect to systems you already run on: Salesforce, HubSpot, Twilio, OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, Slack, Google Workspace, Zapier, Notion, QuickBooks, and many more. If a tool has an API or webhook, we can integrate it.
Hosting, security & ownership
Who owns the data and the system?
Your data is always yours. It is exportable any time and returned on exit. Terso AI hosts the software; you own the data. Source code ownership terms are spelled out in the engagement agreement, and most clients receive a full read-only mirror of their system code by default.
Where is the software hosted?
We host on managed, enterprise-grade cloud infrastructure (typically Vercel, AWS, or GCP, depending on the build). Hosting is region-flexible so we can keep you within US, EU, or other jurisdictions you require.
How do you handle security and confidentiality?
Confidentiality by default. NDAs signed on request. We use least-privilege, scoped, and audit-logged credentials to any third-party system we connect to. Production data is encrypted at rest and in transit. Clients stay anonymous in our case studies unless they choose otherwise.
Are you HIPAA or SOC 2 compliant?
We architect builds to meet the standards your business requires. For healthcare clients, we build on HIPAA-eligible infrastructure with BAAs in place. We are happy to walk through specific compliance requirements during the audit and roadmap stage.
What happens if I want to leave?
We return your data in standard portable formats and assist with offboarding to your in-house team or another provider. No data hostage, no exit fee. We would rather you leave on good terms than feel trapped.
